About

I build what's behind the interface.

Full-stack engineer with a backend bias. I build data-intensive products across the full stack, from infrastructure and data pipelines to the interfaces that make complex data understandable to someone who isn't a data engineer. Founder and sole engineer behind Density-Delta, a tiered SaaS delivering forensic real estate intelligence for the Dubai property market backed by 1.6M+ transaction records. Also building GAAP Sentinel, a forensic accounting tool that ingests SEC filings for 900K+ public companies and detects fraud signals through taxonomy drift across reporting periods. M.S. in Cybersecurity & Data Analytics (3.95 GPA) from Champlain College, on top of a B.S. in Computer Science & Mathematics from Santa Clara University. Born in South Africa, raised in Dubai, educated in California and Vermont. Based in Lisbon.

  1. Density-Delta

    Remote · Dubai
    Founder & Full-Stack EngineerNov 2025 – Present
    • Founded and built Density-Delta, a tiered SaaS that delivers forensic real estate intelligence for the Dubai property market. Designed and shipped end-to-end as the sole engineer: architecture, data pipeline, billing, auth, and UI.
    • Serverless architecture on Cloudflare Workers and D1. Serves 16 years of Dubai Land Department transaction data (1.6M+ records) across 204 communities and 2,000+ projects, with sub-second response times from the edge.
    • Three-tier subscription model (Free, Basic, Premium) with Stripe Checkout, Webhooks, and Billing Portal, including trial handling, prorated upgrades, and webhook event idempotency. Auth.js with Google OAuth and JWT sessions on Cloudflare Workers.
    • Custom ETL pipeline ingesting fragmented Dubai government data across six formats (CSV, PDF, XLSX, XML, KML, JSON). Wrote heuristic matching algorithms to reconstruct entity relationships between communities, developers, and projects, transforming millions of disjointed records into a strict relational schema.
    • Built a 3D map dashboard with deck.gl and Mapbox surfacing 13 real estate metrics across property types and years, with quantile-based color scales, three-community compare mode, and a forensic project deep-dive surfacing every transaction with sortable tables and multi-axis composed charts.
    • Earlier phase served 100+ active real estate investor clients and 10,000+ monthly active users via custom analytics and direct data licensing. Underlying government data has since been made private, leaving Density-Delta with exclusive access.

  2. GoodBuys

    Hybrid · California
    Software EngineerJul 2025 – Present
    • Lead a 6-person research engineering team under a faculty advisor at Santa Clara University, building GoodBuys: a platform that detects corporate greenwashing by maintaining the first centralised global registry of ecolabels and certified companies. The system surfaces which sustainability claims are backed by accredited third-party certification versus self-declared marketing. Currently catalogues 100+ ecolabels and 10,000+ certified companies, with active research covering registry methodology, certification authority verification, and detection of duplicate or misleading labels. Research accepted for publication, with conference presentation scheduled for May 2026.
    • Built a custom company recognition engine using weighted confidence scoring and dictionary-backed filtering to overcome semantic ambiguity, for example differentiating company names from ordinary English words like "General" or "Pioneer".
    • Integrated an adaptive network layer with per-host jitter and exponential backoff to counter anti-bot defences across dozens of certification body websites.
    • Rebuilt the frontend with Next.js and Tailwind; designed all API endpoints.

  3. Beach & Bar Wear

    Remote · California
    Founder & Full-Stack EngineerSep 2024 – Feb 2026
    • Founded and ran Beach & Bar Wear, a California e-commerce brand sold direct-to-consumer through a custom-built Next.js storefront. Owned everything: engineering, infrastructure, brand identity, product design, and marketing.
    • Engineered an automated order-fulfillment pipeline integrating Stripe Checkout, the Printify production API, and a relational inventory database. On successful Stripe payment, a server workflow constructs the Printify order using customer details and the product mapping from the database, then writes order records and triggers an automated tracking email to the customer.
    • Inventory state machine enforces strict transitions (Draft → Published → Out of Stock) via a RESTful API, with idempotent payment handling and webhook reconciliation to guarantee orders and stock state stay consistent even under retries or partial failures.
    • Background stock-sync worker pings the Printify API every 15 minutes, reconciles availability against the local database, and automatically transitions products to Out of Stock when supply drops. Customer order history, contact details, and shipment tracking are persisted server-side and surfaced through an admin dashboard.
    • Designed the consumer-facing storefront and the admin dashboard in Next.js, React, and custom CSS. Owned the full brand identity: typography, color system, photography direction, and visual themes across the site and product line.
    • Marketing and growth: ran paid acquisition campaigns through Facebook Ads and Google Ads, plus organic social. Launch reached hundreds of customers in the first months of operation.

Zero-Knowledge Password Manager Architecture

Open-source password manager design covering client-side encryption and server-side opaque storage. All encryption and decryption happen on the client device. Server stores only opaque encrypted vault blobs, requiring zero trust in the server and ensuring it can never read user secrets even under compromise.

Genuinely curious about how the world works. I follow politics, macroeconomics, and current events closely as I want to understand the world as a system, not just disconnected headlines. Some of my favourite conversations are about what's actually happening out there.
